Despite the outcry, aldermen unanimously approved the one-year, $45,000 deal as part of the consent agenda, keeping the surveillance system in place across Elmhurst.
3. Elmhurst School Official Declines To Back Principal Recruiter (patch.com) — Elmhurst District 205 has hired a recruiting firm to lead the search for a new York High School principal, with one board member pointedly voting "present" instead of yes. Elmhurst Theft Suspect Had Stolen Machine Gun: Police (patch.com) — Elmhurst police say a man linked to thefts at the Route 83 Kohl's was later found with a loaded, stolen handgun modified to fire automatically.
