ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges such as disorderly conduct, criminal property damage, drug possession and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:
Neighbor dispute
A 29-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 600 block of South York Street was arrested about 11 p.m. Monday on a charge of criminal property damage. Police said the man punched the next-door neighbor's kitchen window, causing it to push inward. It was labeled a neighbor dispute. The man was released.
A 24-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, both of whom live in the 100 block of Fellows Court in Elmhurst, were charged about 10:30 a.m. Aug. 27 with disorderly conduct. Police said the men followed a car driven by a woman and then yelled and honked at her before driving off. The incident occurred near Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. The men were released.
Road rage
A 28-year-old River Grove woman was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on a disorderly conduct charge. During a road rage incident, she spat on another woman's car at St. Charles Road and Route 83, police said. She was released.
Warrant
A 63-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 300 block of East Yorkfield Avenue was arrested about 9 p.m. Wednesday at her house on a DuPage County warrant for failing to appear in court. She was released.
Drug possession
A 42-year-old Addison woman was arrested about 11 a.m. Friday at Interstate 290 and St. Charles Road on charges of possession of a controlled substance and improper lane usage. She was also wanted on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear in court. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
A 43-year-old Geneva man was arrested about 11 a.m. Friday at Route 83 and Interstate 88 on charges of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and failure to signal. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
A 26-year-old Villa Park woman was arrested about 3 p.m. Monday at Roosevelt Road and Villa Avenue on charges of possession of a controlled substance and marijuana possession by a passenger. She was in a car that was stopped for speeding. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
A 44-year-old Elgin man was arrested Tuesday in the 600 block of North York Street on charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving with a revoked license and transportation of open alcohol. Police said the man had cocaine. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
A 34-year-old Glen Ellyn man was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at North and Melrose avenues on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with expired license plates. Police came into contact with the man because his car was broken down. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
A 62-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 10 p.m. Wednesday at Larch and North avenues on charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving with a revoked license, speeding and driving with expired license plates. He was also wanted on a warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI
A 26-year-old Palatine man was arrested about 2 a.m. Monday at North Avenue and Michigan Street on charges of DUI, speeding, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of open alcohol by a driver. He was taken to the police station and then released.
A 20-year-old Glen Ellyn man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday near 2N700 County Line Road on charges of DUI and transportation of open alcohol by a driver. An officer saw that the man's car had broken down. The man was taken to the police department and released.
Fleeing
A 28-year-old Chicago woman was arrested about 2 a.m. Monday at York Street and Industrial Drive on charges of fleeing and eluding an officer, obstructing identification, having no valid driver's license, driving an uninsured car and driving with one headlight. Police said the woman provided a false name. She was released.
