Elmhurst Woman Threatens To Hurt Cop, Then Does So: Police

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst woman faces a felony charge after carrying through on threats to hurt an officer, police said.

Andriana Huizar, 26, who lives in the 500 block of West Third Street, was taken to the DuPage County Jail, police said. She was later released.

Late in the morning of July 31, police were called about a driver circling the parking garage on Adelaide Street in downtown Elmhurst. The driver's eyes were reported to be half-closed, as if she were about to fall asleep.

The driver, identified as Huizar, smelled of alcohol but denied she had been drinking, according to the report. She repeatedly promised to have her car towed.

Asked whether she knew where she was, she alternatively said she was in Lombard and Oak Brook, police said.

At the police station, a police officer read to Huizar the state-mandated warning to drunk-driving suspects.

As the officer recited it, Huizar said "I didn't do no s–t wrong" and "I don't give a f–k," then shouted, "Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha," police said.

She then told the officer, "Please don't make me, like, hit you," according to the report.

Asked to sit in a station cell, Huizar told the officer, "I should hit you in the f–ing face," the report said.

She shoved an officer in the cell and then admitted to it, police said.

Huizar repeatedly kicked the cell door with the back of her foot and shouted, which could be heard through the entire station, police said. She then fell asleep on the cell's cot.

For a blood sample, Huizar was taken to Elmhurst Hospital. Outside, she kicked an officer in the groin, leaving a shoeprint on the officer's pants, police said.

Huizar was charged with aggravated battery on a police officer, DUI, driving an uninsured car and transporting open alcohol.

No trial date has been set.

In February, Huizar was charged with obstructing an officer in Elmhurst, according to DuPage County court records.
