ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving trespassing, a work van burglary, a suspicious person and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Trespassing
A 27-year-old Bellwood woman was arrested about 9 a.m. Friday on a trespassing charge. Police said she entered another person's car at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St. The woman said she entered the car accidentally. The owner stated nothing appeared to be missing or disturbed. The woman was released.
A wallet was stolen from an unlocked work van overnight Friday in the 400 block of South Argyle Avenue.
Suspicious
Someone reported a suspicious person inside a detached garage with a flashlight about 5:30 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of West Second Street. Nothing was stolen.
DUI
A 33-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 4 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of North York Street on charges of DUI and driving without a valid driver's license. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail on a warrant.
A 28-year-old Waukegan man was arrested about 1 a.m. Saturday on North and Addison avenues on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and driving an uninsured car. He was taken to the police station and then released.
