ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst man is accused of pointing a handgun at others at his house last week, local police said.
The man was identified as Edgar U. Pedraza-Perez, 29, who lives in the 600 block of South York Street.
Police said they found Pedraza-Perez had nine ounces of cocaine. The incident occurred about 8:30 p.m. Friday, police said.
He was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of aggravated unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of possession with intent to deliver 100 to 400 grams of cocaine, police said.
Pedraza-Perez was taken to the DuPage County Jail, where he remained as of Tuesday morning.
In the same incident, a 36-year-old Lombard woman was charged with criminal damage. She was released.

Drugs
A 20-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 500 block of North Evergreen Avenue and a 21-year-old Glen Ellyn woman were arrested about 3 a.m. Saturday on charges of possession of a controlled substance. Police said they were doing drugs inside a red Honda Odyssey minivan in the 200 block of South Boyd Avenue. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Warrant
A 30-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 300 block of South West Avenue was arrested Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear in court. She turned herself in at the police station. She was released.
Scam
A resident in the 700 block of South Berkley Avenue told police Friday that a suspect claiming to be a security department employee called to tell her that her bank account was compromised. The suspect told her she needed to withdraw money from her account. Instead, the resident notified police.
Theft
Someone stole a security tag remover about 2 p.m. Friday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. The theft was reported a few hours later.
A man put several Red Bull energy drinks in his coat and stole them about 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Shell gas station at 218 E. Butterfield Road. An investigation is pending.
DUI
A 35-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Saturday at Prairie Avenue and St. Charles Road on charges of DUI, carrying a gun while under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. He was taken to the police station and then released.
A 38-year-old Olympia Fields woman was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of North Addison Avenue on charges of DUI and driving with an expired license. She was taken to the police station and then released.
A 37-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at Lake Street and Interstate 290 on charges of DUI, driving the wrong way and driving an uninsured car. He was taken to the police station and then released.
