ELMHURST, IL – It's less than a week until the start of school at Elmhurst School District 205.

Here's a look at the district's calendar for the 2023-24 year:

• Aug. 17: First day of school
• Sept. 5: Labor Day, no school
• Oct. 6: Teacher Institute, no school
• Oct. 9: Columbus Day, no school
• Nov. 22-24: Thanksgiving break, no school
• Dec. 25-Jan. 5: Winter break, no school
• Jan. 8: Classes resume
• Jan. 15: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school
• Feb. 16: Teacher Institute, no school
• Feb. 19: Presidents Day, no school
• March 25-29: Spring break, no school
• April 1: Classes resume
• May 19: High school graduation
• May 27: Memorial Day, no school
• June 3: Tentatively the last day of school (If none of the five bad weather days are used, then the last day will be May 24.)
