On Sunday, December 13 at 10 a.m., Bethel offers its annual Christmas Music Sunday, when the adult voice and bell choirs, along with guest vocalists and instrumentalists, present a morning of wonderful sacred and traditional Christmas songs, a highlight of the Advent season at Bethel. Christmas Eve services, led by Senior Minister Rev. Gretchen Sylvester, will be at 4:00 and 11:00 pm. Both will include traditional carols, reading of the Christmas story, and candlelight. The family-oriented service at 4:00 p.m., filled with familiar and well-loved songs and stories, has been created especially for children but will appeal to all ages. At the 11:00 p.m. service of lessons and carols the Bethel adult voice choir will sing traditional and contemporary pieces. The service will end with the singing of “Silent Night” by candlelight as we leave the sanctuary to quietly greet each other in the stillness of Christmas morning.
