ELMHURST, IL – The new owner of Lexington Square Senior Living in Elmhurst is changing the facility's name and planning a multimillion-dollar project.

Chicago-based Focus Healthcare Partners announced Wednesday it has acquired the seven-story complex at 400 W. Butterfield Road and is renaming it to The Roosevelt at Salt Creek.

Through the renovation, the company said it would offer enhanced amenities, including an indoor pool, a cinema, an art studio, a game room and a sports lounge.

According to a Focus news release, the company will start renovations to convert the home from an entrance-fee model to a rental community offering independent and assisted living.

The new model means the home will no longer charge an entry or buy-in fee or require a commitment of retirement assets, the company said. The cost of an apartment, dining options, activities and fitness are part of the monthly lease.

Des Moines-based Life Care Services, the nation's third-largest senior living provider, will manage The Roosevelt and help carry out its multi-year renovation, the release said.

The next-door nursing home used to be called Lexington. But because of an ownership change a couple of years ago, it is now known as Bella Terrace Elmhurst nursing home.
