Burglars Bag Louis Vuitton Bags In Early A.M. Smash and Grab Heist

A band of thieves drove a minivan through the front door of the Louis Vuitton Store at Oak Brook Center early Sunday morning and made off with an unknown amount of merchandise, Oak Brook police said in a news advisory.

Police immediately responded to a burglary in process around 4:04 a.m., but the but the burglars had already fled mere moments after entering the store.

The thieves backed a minivan through the front door. Eight masked individuals jumped out of the van and entered the store, while the driver remained behind, police said.

The band of unknown thieves grabbed an undetermined amount of merchandise and then got into the van.

Police said there was extensive damage to the store’s front door and window. The burglary is under investigation and no further information is available.
