The Elmhurst/River Forest District 10 Junior League team has advanced to the 2026 Junior League Baseball World Series and will represent Illinois on the international stage in Taylor, Michigan, next week after an impressive undefeated run through District, State, and Central Region competition.
The team earned its place in the World Series after a strong Central Region Tournament in Midland, Michigan, defeating Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, 10-0 to capture the regional championship.
Throughout the postseason, District 10 has shown excellence in every area of the game. Strong defense, consistent pitching, and timely offense have helped the team remain undefeated and compete at the highest level against some of the Midwest’s top Junior League teams.
The Elmhurst/River Forest team is one of only six teams from the United States to earn a spot in the Junior League Baseball World Series, joining six international teams from around the world in Taylor, Michigan.
