ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst resident visited a candy store in Oak Park and told the owner she would like to see it open locally.

Candycopia owner Alycia Mason plans to do just that in early April.

The store will be in the downtown building at 116 N. York St., where the Victory Meat and Seafood restaurant was until it moved down the block recently.

She said it will feature more than 150 bulk gummies, chocolates and licorice.

"We offer everything from an authentic Swedish Pick N Mix bar to international and retro candies to dirty sodas and ice cream," Mason said. "We do candy challenges throughout the year and offer a candy quest in-store for all ages."

The Oak Park store opened in 2022.
