Car Stolen At Elmhurst Gas Pump: Cops

ELMHURST, IL – A car was stolen while a person was pumping gas Monday at an Elmhurst gas station, authorities said.

The incident was reported about 11:30 a.m. at Shell gas station, 218 E. Butterfield Road.

Police said a suspect entered an unlocked blue Infiniti SUV and drove away while the person was pumping gas, with the pump nozzle still attached.

The car was found abandoned a little while later in another jurisdiction, police said. The victim retrieved the car.
