Car Stuck On Elmhurst Railroad Tracks: Cops

ELMHURST, IL – Three men and a woman were arrested in recent days on DUI charges in Elmhurst. One of the suspects was reported to have been struck on local railroad tracks. Here is information from the police reports:

  • Jose J. Serna, 21, of Glendale Heights, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Saturday at Maple Avenue and the railroad tracks on charges of DUI, parking on the railroad tracks and driving an uninsured vehicle. Police said Serna's vehicle was stuck on the railroad tracks. He was released on bond. Patch has filed a public records request for the full report.
  • Shawn Eric Spector, 53, of Melrose Park, was arrested about 12:30 p.m. Friday at Grand Avenue and Industrial Drive on charges of DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol. Spector was stopped after police received a report of a reckless driver. He was released on bond.
  • Steven Jackson, 53, of Chicago, was arrested about 2 a.m. Saturday at North and Melrose avenues on charges of aggravated DUI, driving with a revoked license, driving an uninsured vehicle, speeding, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Latavia Robertson, 23, of Sauk Village, was arrested shortly after midnight Sunday at North Avenue and Route 83 on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and disobeying a traffic control signal. She was released on bond.
