OAK BROOK, IL — Fogo de Chão, a Brazilian steakhouse chain, is opening a location Tuesday in Oak Brook, right on schedule.

The Oak Brook location is opening at 1204 22nd St., which is in the newly developed Oak Brook Commons neighborhood. The chain announced its plan earlier this month.

A part of the first week's sales will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities' Meals from the Heart program.
Fogo de Chão said it would anchor its dining room by an open-air churrasco bar for guests to dine while gaucho chefs display their work. ("Churrasco" means beef or grilled meat.)

The restaurant also plans to feature a big patio for al fresco churrasco dining and a "reimagined bar area where guests will be able to linger on bold leather couches and settee seating," its news release said.
The chain also said the Oak Brook team will be a test location for all new menu innovations, including seasonable items, before launching throughout the company.
Fogo de Chão has 60 locations, consisting of 46 in the United States, seven in Brazil, five in Mexico and two in the Middle East.
