'Chicago Fire' Film Production to Cause Temporary Road Closures
Elmhurst Police and Fire Department personnel will assist with directing traffic and emergency response support.

Elmhurst residents may notice some non-Elmhurst marked emergency vehicles and temporary road closures next week, as television film crews from the NBC show Chicago Fire utilize part of the Elmhurst Quarry for filming.
On April 7, a stunt rehearsal will close one lane of West Avenue from 1 to 4 p.m.

Elmhurst Police and Fire Department personnel will assist with directing traffic and emergency response support.
On April 9, filming will take place at the Quarry from 6 a.m.to 7 p.m. Both lanes of West Avenue will be closed from Alexander Boulevard to Third Street.

Traffic will be detoured along First or Second Street to Myrtle before returning back to West.
Detour route is pictured below and available on the city’s website.
Police and fire crews will be on scene to help with traffic and crowd control as well as any emergency response if needed. Public access to the film production site and its immediate surroundings will be restricted.
