'Chicago Fire' Filming Returns to Elmhurst
Some non-Elmhurst marked emergency vehicles may be present in the area.

The NBC television show ”Chicago Fire” will return to Elmhurst to continue filming, after last week’s storm caused a cancellation of the production that was scheduled for April 9.
Television crews are planning to film “Chicago Fire” from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 14 in part of the Elmhurst Quarry, according to the City of Elmhurst.

Both lanes of West Avenue will be closed from Alexander Boulevard to Third Street. Traffic will be detoured along First or Second Street to Myrtle before returning back to West.

Police and fire personnel (real ones) will be on scene to help with traffic, crowd control and any emergency response, if needed. Public access to the film production site and its immediate surroundings will be restricted.
