Child's Voice Students Kick Off Marker Recycling Effort
Partnering with the Crayola ColorCycle Program, students with hearing loss work to help others.

Child's Voice students and staff are excited to announce the launch of our Crayola ColorCycle - an amazing program devised to re-purpose used markers rather than sending them to landfills.
Since 2013, the Crayola ColorCycle® program has re-purposed more than 70 tons of expended markers in the US and Canada, and uses the most advanced plastic conversion technologies available today to make wax compounds for asphalt and roofing shingles as well as to generate electricity that can be used to heat homes, cook food, and power vehicles.
Child’s Voice, located in Wood Dale and Chicago, helps children with hearing loss learn to listen and speak. Students wear hearing aids and/or cochlear implants and programs use a child-focused, research-based curriculum, all with the end goal of transitioning graduates back to their local, neighborhood schools.

All around Child's Voice, students and teachers will be collecting used markers that are ready to be discarded. Please help support our efforts by saving your used markers for us. We can re-purpose any brand of marker, highlighter and dry erase marker. Drop-off boxes are located at Child's Voice in Wood Dale. If our Chicago location is more convenient, feel free to drop them there too.
