Comcast in Elmhurst Hiring 200 Employees for New Technician Centers

The new employees at the Elmhurst facility will help manage Comcast technicians in Midwest and Southeast states.

Comcast is hiring 200 new employees at its Elmhurst facility as part of an initiative to improve customer experience through two new centers, a Technician Support Center and a Technician Logistics Center.

The new employees at the centers “will be responsible for scheduling, monitoring and supporting technicians in the field who do installations and make service visits to customers’ homes and businesses,” according to Comcast.

A technician can call the support center in Elmhurst while at a customer’s home to get more information, to walk through a procedure or if the customer wants to change an order.

John Crowley, senior vice president of Comcast greater Chicago region, said they’re building out the facility at 155 Industrial Drive while maintaining operations. He said Comcast answers thousands of service calls every day, and the support center employees will help link the customers and the technicians.
