Comcast Moves Out Of Elmhurst Facility

ELMHURST, IL – A few months ago, Comcast moved out of one of its two buildings in Elmhurst, the company confirmed Monday.

In an email, Comcast spokesman Jack Segal told Patch that it no longer occupies the facility at 155 Industrial Drive. It has moved its technical operations and warehouse facility to McCook.

Comcast, however, still operates an engineering and network operations facility at 688 Industrial Drive in Elmhurst, Segal said.

About 60 technicians were based at the building at 155 Industrial Drive. They visited there once a week to pick up equipment and supplies or for meetings or training, Segal said.

"Typically, they take their trucks home with them and are dispatched directly into the field," he said.

A Patch reader asked about the status of the Comcast building at 155 Industrial Drive. He worried the move could affect service.

Segal said it would not.

"We will continue to offer the same high level and quality of service we always have in Elmhurst, regardless of the location of our technical operations and warehouse facility," Segal said in the email. "In addition, the same group of technicians continues to serve our customers in Elmhurst."

A trucking company appears to have taken the place of Comcast at 155 Industrial Drive.
