A concert of flute music

​Join flutist Jennie Brown for a program of masterworks titled "The Lyrical Flute" on the beautiful campus of Wheaton College.

Join flutist Jennie Brown as she presents a program of masterworks titled "The Lyrical Flute" at 7:30 p.m. on the beautiful campus of Wheaton College on Monday, February 13. She will perform with pianists Brian Lee and Cindy Trowbridge. The program includes works by Poulenc, Franck, Dutilleux, and Schwantner.


Dr. Brown has served on the faculty at the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music since 2003. She is an Innova recording artist whose recently released album "Looking Back: The Music of Joseph Schwantner" was met with critical acclaim around the world. Her playing has been described as reflecting "beauty, intensity, rawness, and virtuosity" by Jennifer Slaughter of the National Flute Association's Flutist Quarterly. The concert is part of this year's Faculty Recital Series. It will take place in Pierce Memorial Chapel, located on the southeast corner of Washington and Franklin streets in Wheaton. Tickets are available only at the door and cost $10 for general audience and $5 for seniors over 60. Admission is free to students and Wheaton College ID holders.
