Conroy, Community Partners Hold Heroin Forum

Conroy partnered with the community to hold a heroin forum at York High School.

To continue to raise awareness about the heroin epidemic in our communities, state Rep. Deb Conroy, D-Villa Park, recently partnered with York High School, Straight Talk Services and leaders for a forum on addiction and heroin that brought together hundreds of students and parents to the York High School auditorium.

“Families are being torn apart by heroin and we have to be vigilant about educating our children about the dangerous reality that this drug poses to their lives,” Conroy said. “I want to thank everyone that made this forum possible and all the students and parents that came to join this important conversation about the heroin epidemic in DuPage. I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Julie Hendricks for sharing her son Conor’s story; heroin stole Conor’s life and now his story is saving lives.”

For more information, please contact Rep. Conroy’s full-time constituent services office at 630-415-3520 or by email at RepDebConroy@gmail.com.
