ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst Hospital continues to treat a low number of coronavirus patients. Meanwhile, the monthly number of deaths has dropped a lot.
As of Wednesday, the hospital was seeing eight such patients. The caseload has been in the single digits since mid-March, according to the hospital's reports.
This month, the hospital has reported four deaths of coronavirus patients. If that number stays the same through month's end, it would be about a third of the monthly average of 11.5 since the pandemic's beginning.
