Cougars Excel at the Fox Valley Freedom Fest
The Cougars 12U Baseball Club took second place in the Fox Valley Freedom Fest Tournament over the May 8-10th weekend.
The Cougars 12U Baseball Club took second place in the Fox Valley Freedom Fest Tournament over the May 8-10th weekend. The Cougars 12U are on roll making it to the Tournament Championship Finals twice in the last three weeks. The Cougar’s road to the finals began on Saturday defeating the Tri-City Bisons 14-9 and a comeback win against the Troy Titans 8-6 with a solo home run by Ben Chuman and a game ending double play by Joseph Hamilton. On Sunday, the team slugged their way in the semifinals defeating the WAA Ducks 14-2. With a good effort, the team ended their run losing to the Oswego Reapers in the championship.

Formed in 1992 the Cougar Baseball and Softball club has gone on to become one of the most progressive and respected volunteer youth sports brands in the Chicago metro area. In addition to their solid track of promoting their players to the high school ranks, the Cougars provide their teams a high volume of access to quality ballfields and batting cages with excellent coaching.
