Death Investigation Under Way In Villa Park: DuPage Sheriff
Officials said the investigation was ongoing in the Brandywine subdivision Thursday morning.
VILLA PARK, IL — Just after 7:30 a.m. Thursday, the DuPage Sheriff's Office said its deputies were conducting a death investigation in the Brandywine subdivision in unincorporated Villa Park.
Officials said there is a "noticeable law enforcement presence in the area," but assured residents that the "situation is contained, and there is no indication of ongoing danger."
The sheriff's office said the investigation is ongoing and additional details will be released as they become available.

In a separate, unrelated incident also in Villa Park Thursday morning, local police were investigating a "phoned-in bomb threat" at Willowbrook High School that was similar to a recent incident in a neighboring community. Villa Park Police said they were "following established safety protocols in coordination with school officials."
Just after 10:30 a.m., police said the school and been cleared and no suspicious devices were found.

"For clarification, the incident that occurred at Willowbrook High School is not connected in any way to the death investigation in unincorporated Villa Park," police said. "The death investigation is under the jurisdiction of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office. These are two entirely separate and unrelated incidents and at separate locations."
