Devon Seafood + Steak Hosts Five Course Freemark Abbey Wine Dinner

To start off the night, guests will enjoy Ginger Carrot Soup and Calendar Island Mussels, paired with a glass of Freemark Abbey Viognier 2013, vibrant with fruity aromas of ripe banana, apple, peach, guava, papaya and angel food cake.

Next, guests can dive into Seared Diver Scallops, with chanterelle mushrooms and braised leeks, complemented with a Freemark Abbey Chardonnay 2014, complete with fruity aromas of white peach, kiwi, lemon-lime and oak that adds complexity by adding spice flavors of nutmeg and toasty aromatic cedar.

The third course consists of Duck Two Ways, pan-roasted duck breast, duck confit, savoy cabbage and celeriac, paired with a glass of Freemark Abbey Merlot 2012, rich and smooth with black cherry, nuances of milk chocolate and integrated spicy oak and arugula.

Guests can then enjoy Braised Short Ribs, with root vegetables, Yukon potatoes and a red-wine demi-glace, complemented with a Freemark Abbey Sycamore Vineyard Cabernet 2004, complex with bold flavors of blackberries, cherries, raspberries, mocha and cedar.

For the final course, guests will indulge in an Apple Strudel, with housemade cinnamon ice cream, paired perfectly with a glass of Kendall Jackson Late Harvest Chardonnay 2007, a dessert wine with sweet aromas of cinnamon, Fuji apple, kiwi and floral notes.
