Domestic Disturbances In Elmhurst Neighborhoods Reported
In another case, a woman told police that someone pointed a gun at her in 2023.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving domestic disturbances, a gun pointing, a possible jewelry scam, birth bath vandalism, a fake FBI agent and a kicked-in door. Here is information from Elmhurst police reports:
Domestic disturbances
- Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 7:30 p.m. March 16 in the 500 block of South Parkside Avenue. Both people gave conflicting stories. No injuries were seen. Police asked both people to separate for the night.
- Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 11:30 p.m. March 17 in the 500 block of West Third Street. A woman told police that another person pushed her, but the person denied it. Police could find no indication that a battery had occurred. The people separated for the night.

- A resident in the 200 block of South Monterey Avenue told police Friday that someone pointed a loaded gun at her in 2023. An investigation is pending.
Possible jewelry scam
- A man told police that someone offered him jewelry in exchange for cash he withdrew from an ATM about 6 p.m. Friday at Chase Bank, 534 W. St. Charles Road.
Bird bath vandalism

- Someone entered a backyard and damaged a bird bath about 11 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of East Church Street.
Trespassing
- A person was previously given an order not to trespass at Elmhurst Animal Care, 850 S. Riverside Drive. The business told police March 16 that the person sent an email posing as an FBI agent.
Fake FBI agent
- A resident in the 200 block of South Villa Avenue told police March 16 that someone posing as a DuPage County sheriff's deputy convinced him to pay for non-existent warrants.
Kicked-in door
- A resident in the 600 block of West Fay Avenue told police that someone kicked in the back door of the house about 5 p.m. March 16. Officers could not find the person. The homeowner did not want to file charges.
