ELMHURST, IL – A dog lost its way Tuesday night in Elmhurst, as temperatures hovered around zero.

In a Facebook post, Elmhurst police reported that the dog ended up at the front desk of the police station.

"She must have thought the floor was a little too cold because she jumped right up on the counter to wait for her owner to pick her up!" the police department said.
