Downtown Elmhurst Restaurant Expanding

City officials earlier this month approved zoning for the addition.

ELMHURST, IL – Pazzi di Pizza, an Italian restaurant in downtown Elmhurst, is expanding to allow for more seating year-round.

The restaurant at 105 S. York St. already includes outdoor seating on its south side.

Earlier this month, the City Council approved the zoning for Pazzi di Pizza to add a permanent structure where its outdoor seating is.

The structure is retractable, so it will give diners open air during warmer months and be fully enclosed during the winter, according to city documents.

Pazzi di Pizza is on the ground level of the five-story Fifth Third Bank building.

The restaurant says it serves "fresh, intimate and truly authentic Italian cuisine, striving to make customers feel like they are at their grandmother's table."
