Driver Rescued from Car Submerged in Lagoon at Eldridge Park

Someone called the Elmhurst Fire Department at 1:36 p.m. Monday to report a vehicle was in the lagoon.

Emergency personnel coordinated a rescue effort Monday afternoon after a vehicle was partially submerged in the lagoon at Eldridge Park in Elmhurst.

The driver was rescued from the vehicle, and he was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, according to the City of Elmhurst.

His medical condition is currently unknown.

Elmhurst police, Elmhurst fire and Oak Brook Terrace police were involved in the rescue.
