Drunk Drivers Collide In Elmhurst, Face Charges: Cops

ELMHURST, IL – Two drivers who crashed in Elmhurst on the Fourth of July had a couple of things in common – they were drunk and driving uninsured cars, police said.

The collision occurred about 12:30 a.m. at North Avenue and Illinois Street, police said.

A 32-year-old Glendale Heights man and a 48-year-old Stone Park man were charged with DUI and driving uninsured cars.

The Glendale Heights man faces the additional charge of improper lane usage.

The men were taken to the police station and later released.
