DuPage State's Attorney Rescinds Sheriff Endorsement
Other Republicans are still listed on social media as backing the undersheriff.

ELMHURST, IL – DuPage County's top prosecutor said Thursday that he was rescinding his endorsement of Undersheriff Eddie Moore in the sheriff's race.
In a message to Patch, State's Attorney Robert Berlin said he informed Moore of his decision a day earlier.
Moore is running in the March 17 Republican primary against Sean Noonan, a longtime police officer in area departments. They are vying to replace Sheriff James Mendrick, who is running as a Republican for governor.

Berlin, a Republican, did not give the reason for his decision, nor did he say whether he would endorse Noonan.
Moore could not be reached for immediate comment. His campaign Facebook page lists endorsements, but Patch could no longer find the one for Berlin.

This week, Patch reported on a 2021 bar incident in Wisconsin that resulted in a disorderly conduct charge against Moore. The Daily Herald and the DuPage Policy Journal, a conservative publication, did so in January.
Still listed as endorsing Moore on his campaign's Facebook page are Mendrick, County Treasurer Gwen Henry, and County Board members Jim Zay and Sam Tornatore.
A few days ago, County Board member Cindy Cronin Cahill of Elmhurst was listed as endorsing Moore. Her name no longer appears on Moore's Facebook page.
