Eatery Disturbance, Theft: Elmhurst Cops
An Uber Eats driver became impatient, prompting a call to the police, report says.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police have handled cases involving a restaurant disturbance, retail theft, graffiti at the police station, a dog at large, disorderly conduct, a DUI and a person passed out in front of a store, among other incidents. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Restaurant disturbance
- Police responded to a disturbance about 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Bonita Bowls restaurant, 156 N. York St. An employee said that while making customers' orders, an Uber Eats driver became impatient and caused a disturbance before leaving the business. The restaurant reported the driver's behavior to Uber Eats.

- A man stole two bottles of wine about 5:30 p.m. Thursday at 7-Eleven, 525 S. Spring Road. He was described as white, having a brown beard and brown hair, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, between 200 and 300 pounds, and wearing glasses, a white T-shirt, a black shirt and a red hat.
- A man stole several bottles of alcohol about 2 a.m. Friday at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave. He was last seen heading south on York. He was described as black, 45 years old, and wearing a black baseball hat, a light blue T-shirt with the word "Friends" in white, gray sweatpants and white shoes.
Graffiti at police station
- An officer found graffiti inside the public restroom at the police station, 125 E. First St. It occurred between Tuesday and Saturday.
Dog at large

- Snejana Popov, 70, of Oak Brook, was cited about 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of South Hillside on a charge of a dog at large. According to a police report, Popov's dog got loose and bit a woman. Popov was released on bond.
Warrant
- Hal F. Olmedo, 33, of Chicago, was arrested about 7 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of North York Street on a Lake County Sheriff's Office warrant. He was released on bond.
Disorderly conduct
- Maurice Massey, 45, of Naperville, was arrested about 7:30 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of West First Street on two DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrants and on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing identification. According to a police report, Massey was drinking and threatened a victim. He gave officers a false name. He was released on bond.
Passed out in front of store
- A person was passed out about 8 a.m. Friday in front of Jewel, 944 S. York St. An officer woke the person, and medics took the person to the hospital.
Shattered window
- A resident in the 300 block of West Kimbell Avenue told police that she found her apartment window shattered. A rock was on her kitchen floor. The damage happened between 11 a.m. Saturday and 12:45 p.m. Sunday.
Fence fire
- Firefighters put out a fence fire about 7 p.m. Sunday in the backyard of a house in the 200 block of North Larch Avenue. The fire was determined to have been started from a fire pit.
Identity theft
- A resident in the 100 block of Fellows Court told police Friday that someone made several fraudulent charges on his debit card. He has since canceled the card and received a new one.
DUI
- Kimberly Taylor, 39, of Lake Forest, was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday at First and Addison on charges of DUI and driving the wrong way down a one-way road. She was released on bond.
Driving violations
- Quantassa Tate, 27, of Chicago, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Friday at North and Shady Lane on charges of driving with a suspended license and failure to signal when changing lanes. She was released on bond.
- Destiny Burnett, 22, of Elmhurst, was cited about 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Kenilworth Avenue on charges of no valid driver's license, driving a vehicle with a suspended registration and disobeying a stop sign. She was released on bond.
- Christopher Newman, 50, of Cicero, was cited about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Route 83 and Lake Street on charges of driving with a suspended license, speeding and driving an uninsured vehicle. He was released on bond.
- Kymonte Burks, 25, of Chicago, was cited about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at Fullerton and York on charges of no valid driver's license, speeding and driving an uninsured vehicle. He was released on bond.
- Mauricio Rubio Nava, 21, of Chicago, was cited shortly before midnight Saturday at North and Route 83 on charges of driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana by a driver, suspended registration and driving an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on bond.
- Steven Dorsey Jr., 23, of Maywood, was cited about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at North and Addison avenues on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving with a suspended registration and failure to wear a seatbelt. He was released on bond.
