Elderly Woman Robbed At Villa Park Walmart: Cops
Two men were arrested in connection with the robbery. The store is across the road from Elmhurst.

VILLA PARK, IL – A woman was robbed at gunpoint this week in the parking lot at Villa Park's Walmart, which is across Route 83 from Elmhurst, prosecutors said.
Arrested in connection with the crime were Jarquez Jones, 18, of Maywood, and Sincere Harrington, 19, of Chicago. The robbery happened about 1 p.m. Monday, police said.
They are accused of driving up to the woman while she was loading her car with groceries. One of them pointed a gun at her and stole her purse, police said.

Responding officers said they saw the driver of the suspect car drive over grass and leave the Walmart parking lot south on Route 83. The driver led police on a chase that reached 90 mph, with a Chicago police helicopter joining the pursuit, prosecutors said.
At some point, Jones and Herrington abandoned the vehicle. Police found Jones in a garbage bin, while Harrington was caught as he was running away, police said.

About 100 yards away from the vehicle, police found two guns connected to the men – a .45-caliber Glock 30 and a 9 mm Glock 17, authorities said. The Glock 17 was altered to allow it to fire as a fully automatic weapon, police said.
The men were charged with armed robbery with a firearm and aggravated fleeing and eluding. Harrington is out on bond for Cook County charges of unlawful use of a weapon.
"We are now in the heart of the holiday shopping season and the quick apprehension of the defendants in this case highlights DuPage County’s commitment to our businesses and their patrons that we will most certainly not tolerate this type of violent behavior," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement.
A DuPage County judge denied bond for Jones. Harrington's bond hearing is set for Monday.
