Elmhurst 20-Somethings Prowl Neighborhood: Cops
In another case, an Elmhurst man yelled at a neighbor and her Halloween decorations, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of prowling, disorderly conduct, domestic battery, attempted identity theft, battery, retail theft and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:
Prowling
- A 25-year-old Elmhurst woman and a 24-year-old man, both of whom live at a house in the 700 block of South Mitchell Avenue, were arrested shortly after midnight Oct. 8 on prowling charges. Police said the mask- and hoodie-wearing pair were looking into car windows on their block. The woman was also charged with obstructing police after she was said to have refused to identify herself. They were released.
Disorderly conduct

- A 38-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 600 block of Fay Avenue was arrested about noon Sunday near his home on a disorderly conduct charge. Police said he entered a neighbor's yard and yelled at her and her Halloween decorations. He was released and served with a no-trespass notice.
Domestic battery
- A 37-year-old Park City man was arrested about 4 p.m. Friday on charges of domestic battery and possession of a controlled substance. Police said the man shoved a 34-year-old woman into a car at McDonald's, 190 E. Butterfield Road. The woman was also charged with possession of a controlled substance after officers found drugs in the car. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Attempted identity theft

- A 37-year-old Dolton woman was arrested Oct. 7 on two counts of attempted identity theft. Police said the incident occurred Nov. 24 at Panera, 108 E. North Ave. The woman is accused of making fraudulent transactions on her stolen credit cards. She was released.
Battery
- A 40-year-old Lombard man was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Oct. 6 on a battery charge. Police said the incident occurred in the 100 block of West Avenue, with the man grabbing another man by his hoodie and chest. He was released.
Retail thefts
- Ronnie M. Esposito, 37, of Schiller Park, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Friday on two retail theft counts and a burglary count. Police said the incident occurred at Jewel, 944 S. York St. Berkeley police found her. She was released.
- A 59-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 1000 block of South Saylor Avenue was arrested Friday on a warrant charging retail theft. She turned herself in at the police station. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- A 37-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 3 p.m. Friday on two retail theft counts. Police said they were called to a retail theft in progress at Jewel, 944 S. York St., with the man admitting to stealing two bottles of tequila. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI
- A 25-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 200 block of South West Avenue was arrested about 6 p.m. Saturday at Route 83 and St. Charles Road on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash. He was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 23-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 600 block of West Belden Avenue was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at Grand Avenue and Church Street on charges of DUI, failure to yield when turning left, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, driving with expired plates, possession of open alcohol by a driver and improper lane usage. She was taken to the police station and then released.
