ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a bar disturbance, fires, a fired employee, a drunk person, an unconscious person, a fall, theft and graffiti. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Bar disturbance

  • A drunk person caused a disturbance and yelled profanities about 1 p.m. Monday at Bottle Theory bar, 542 S. Spring Road. The suspect was found and served with a no-trespass notice.

  • Police and firefighters responded to a fire on a rear deck about 11 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Pine Street. A neighbor put out the fire before firefighters arrived. The fire was caused by a plant pot being used as an ashtray, police said.
  • Police and firefighters were called to a car fire about 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of North Oak Street. The fire was put out, and the vehicle was towed.

Fired employee

  • An employee damaged a company laptop shortly after being fired about 5 p.m. Monday at Integra Healthcare Equipment, 321 W. Lake St.

Drunk

  • Police checked on the well-being of a drunk person about 9 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of North Addison Avenue. The person declined to go to the hospital.

Unconscious

  • Officers and medics were called about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday to the 300 block of South West Avenue for a person who was unconscious and not breathing. The person was taken to the hospital.

Fall

  • A woman fell on the sidewalk about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of South Prairie Avenue. She was taken to the hospital.

Theft

  • Someone stole catalytic converters from several vehicles about 3 a.m. Feb. 28 at Comcast Cable, 688 N. Industrial Drive. An investigation is pending.

Graffiti

  • A truck was damaged with graffiti overnight Tuesday at Jmar Transportation, 772 N. Industrial Drive. An investigation is pending.
