Elmhurst College To Feature High School Students' Artwork

York High School students will be among those showcasing their work. The exhibition is from Jan. 11 to Jan. 26.

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst College will celebrate young artists and public school art programs from across the Chicago area when it hosts the 21st Annual High School Exhibition, which will run from Jan. 11 to Jan. 26.

Every January, the entire space of the Founders Lounge in the Frick Center is hung from floor to ceiling with artwork created by students from 10 high schools, including York High School. The exhibition will feature hundreds of paintings, prints, sculptures, videos and computer art, and works in other media.

“There are so many very talented high school students taking part in this exhibition,” Suellen Rocca, director of exhibits at Elmhurst College, said in a statement.
