Elmhurst company works with Ace Hardware - Ace Cares for Kids Program

On Thursday July 18th Ace Hardware gave nine year old, Ellie Fontanetta, who was born with Spina Bifida, the surprise of a lifetime! Ellie received a floor to ceiling playroom makeover. The project was left by Ace Hardware Design Expert, Katie Reynolds, and Ace Hardware’s Home Expert and Mr. Fit-It, Lou Mangredini. Precision Painting & Decorating, a local Elmhurst – based company, was asked to help complete the makeover.

 

The Ace Hardware Foundation lives up to being the “Helpful Place” by providing support and opportunities to its consumers, retail store owners, vendors and team members to give back to local communities though fundraising efforts for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Ellis the 2013 Ace “All-Star” and inaugural ambassador for Ace Hardware and the face of Ace Cares for Kids program raising money for the Children Miracle Network with fundraising. The Fontanetta family also hosts a two day Hotdogs for Hope fundraiser at their Lockport, IL home which benefits the Lurie Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network.

President and CEO of Precision Painting & Decorating, Aaron Moore, stated “This was hands down the best project we have been a part of. The PPD team could not have been happier to be part of such a great program and to give back to such a deserving person. Ellie was a pleasure to meet, and truly an inspiration.”
