Elmhurst Cycling Classic Sponsors Bike-Themed Poster Contest
The deadline to submit a poster is May 15.

Third and fourth-grade Elmhurst students are invited to participate in a bicycle poster contest sponsored by the Elmhurst Cycling Classic.
The classic is a day of professional and amateur bike racing, scheduled this year on July 24 in Elmhurst. Last year, the classic sponsored a bike safety essay contest.

The theme for the poster contest this year is The Joy of Cycling, and judges are looking for the best depiction of bike fun, travel, safety or racing. Posters should show how great it is to ride a bike.
The Elmhurst Cycling Classic has supplied poster paper to students in each District 205 school. The deadline to submit a poster is May 15.

First, second and third place winners will be named in each grade level from each participating school, and winners will get a prize. There will also be one overall winner to receive the grand prize. Last year, a Jefferson fifth grader won a new bike.
Winners will be notified in advance. All prizes will be distributed on July 24, right before the Family Fun Ride. Winners will be invited to ride at the front of the pack.
