Daniels, whose official title is executive director of communications and community relations, still answers media inquiries about incidents at schools.
A couple of weeks ago, the Elmhurst Independent newspaper asked Daniels about a particular social media rumor involving a supposed incident at the high school. She said she asked the school's administrators about it and determined the allegation was unfounded, according to the newspaper.
