Elmhurst D205 Official Gets $24K Pay Hike

ELMHURST, IL – The Elmhurst school board last week upgraded the titles of seven top officials, calling the changes "reassignments."

The board did not release the salary numbers, so Patch sought the information through a public records request.

The official with the biggest raise is Katie Lyons, who is set to receive nearly $24,000 more next school year, moving from $144,900 to $168,500.

Her title is changing to assistant superintendent of learning and teaching, from executive director of elementary education.

Here are the other changes for Elmhurst School District 205 officials:

• Kerry Leuschel, $144,900 to $160,000, from executive director of secondary education to assistant superintendent of school leadership.
• Tonya Daniels, $149,247 to $155,216, from executive director of communications and community relations to chief of staff and communications.
• Colleen Cook, $138,692 to $147,525, from director of special education (early childhood to fifth) to director of student services.
• Anna Bahramis, $137,586 to $141,025, from director of special education (sixth to 12th) to director of student services.
• Skip Kumm, $114,885 to $125,000, from assistant director of special education at York High School to director of student services at York.
• Garret Garcia, $67,275 to $72,275, from communications coordinator to assistant director of communications.

Last summer, Patch reported on the salaries of the 40 highest-paid employees in the 2022-23 year. Superintendent Keisha Campbell topped the list at $256,147.
