Elmhurst Swim School Deals With Disorderly Person: Police

Another place issued a no-trespass notice against the person.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving disorderly conduct, debit card theft, a dog bite, a domestic disturbance, retail theft, a violation of a protection order, an alcohol overdose, damage and porch piracy. Here is information from the latest police reports:

Disorderly conduct

  • Police said they responded to a report of disorderly conduct on Tuesday at Goldfish Swim School, 614 N. Michigan St. A person has been charged. (Police originally said the disorderly conduct occurred at the nearby Evolution Dance Experience. The incident did not occur there, but Evolution sought a no-trespass notice against the person in question because the person had been there in recent weeks.)

Debit card theft

  • A person tried to steal a woman's new Chase debit card as it was being delivered on the morning of Jan. 7 at her house in the 200 block of Melrose Avenue. The report was filed Wednesday, more than a month later.

Dog bite

  • A woman told police that while walking her dog, two larger dogs bit hers about 5:30 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of Eastland Street.

Domestic disturbance

  • Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 1 p.m. Monday at a house in the 100 block of North Hampshire Avenue. A female reported that her brother had been physically abusive to their father, police said. An investigation is pending.

Retail theft

  • Suspects stole merchandise about 2 p.m. Monday at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St. An investigation is pending.

Theft

  • A green car trailer on a blue chassis was stolen about 2 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of North Industrial Drive. The theft was reported two days later.

Violation of an order of protection

  • A woman in the 400 block of North Howard Avenue told police that a man had contacted her after he was served an order of protection. Charges are pending. The report was made Tuesday.

Alcohol overdose

  • Police responded to an alcohol overdose about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of West Grand Avenue. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.

Damage

  • An excavator was damaged between 2 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of East Butterfield Road.

Porch piracy

  • A package was stolen about 4 p.m. Wednesday at a house in the 100 block of North Avon Road.
