Elmhurst Dealership Worker May Have Stolen Car: Cops

ELMHURST, IL — Al Piemonte Buick GMC, 354 W. Grand Ave., told police last week that a 2021 GMC Acadia was missing from its inventory.

The dealership believed a former employee took the car when he quit his job, police said. The dealership also told police that employees saw the car parked in the employee's driveway.

The theft is believed to have happened April 1 or April 2. It was reported Thursday, more than a month later.

The case is pending an investigation, police said.
