Elmhurst Domestic Draws Crisis Team: Police
A suspect was arrested, with formal charges to be filed later, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – A suspect was arrested in a domestic disturbance early Sunday evening, Elmhurst police said.
The incident took place in the 400 block of South Berkley Avenue, which is between Surf Street and Eggleston Avenue, according to a police news release.
The police department brought in tactical patrol officers and a crisis negotiation team, who communicated with the suspect, police said.

According to a later police report, a man suffered an injury to his head after a suspect struck him with a pan. The suspect refused to leave the house, but was eventually taken into custody without any problems.
Police said they sought a warrant for aggravated domestic battery.
