Elmhurst DUI Suspect Threatens Man In Emergency Room: Cops

In another case, an Elmhurst woman was arrested after admitting to slapping a man, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police charged people with charges of disorderly conduct, domestic battery, violation of a court order, burglary and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:

Disorderly conduct

  • A 43-year-old Addison man was arrested shortly after midnight Friday near Route 83 and Fay Avenue on charges of DUI, being a pedestrian suddenly leaving a place of safety, driving an uninsured car and driving with a suspended license. He was on a motorcycle. About 5 a.m., the man was arrested again on a disorderly conduct charge at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road. A man told police that the 43-year-old had threatened to beat him up in the emergency room.

Domestic battery

  • A 44-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 300 block of North Ridgeland Avenue was arrested about 5 p.m. Friday at her house on a domestic battery charge. Police said the woman admitted to slapping a man across the face. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Violating order

  • A 46-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 900 block of South Hillcrest Avenue was arrested about Sunday on charges of violating an order of protection and violating his pretrial release terms Friday. He turned himself in a couple of days later. Police said the man admitted to breaching the 500-foot boundary. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Burglary

  • Dontae Grayson, 22, of Maywood, and Jarell Garner, 23, of Chicago, were arrested about 6 p.m. Friday at Walgreens, 160 N. Robert Palmer Drive, on charges of burglary and retail theft. Police said the men stole two bottles of liquor. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUI

  • A 23-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 3N500 block of Willow Road was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at York and Lake streets on charges of DUI, driving an uninsured car, improper lane usage and no license plate light. She was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 48-year-old Hoffman Estates man was arrested about 7 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of West Lake Street on charges of DUI and possession of open alcohol by a driver. He was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 66-year-old Bensenville man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at York Street and Grand Avenue on charges of DUI, driving an uninsured car, using unsafe tires and having an illegal flashing light. He was taken to the police station and then released.
