Elmhurst Elementary Principal Retiring

She has had a long career as an educator in the Chicago suburbs.

ELMHURST, IL – Irene Villa, principal of Conrad Fischer Elementary School, is retiring June 30, according to Elmhurst School District 205's latest personnel report.

By enrollment, Fischer is Elmhurst's largest elementary school. It also has the greatest percentage of low-income students locally.

According to her LinkedIn page, Villa took the helm in June 2019. For two years before that, she was an assistant principal in West Chicago. She also served as principal at Henking School in Glenview and as an assistant principal in Aurora.

In the 2021-22 school year, Villa was the 34th highest paid employee in Elmhurst School District 205.
