Elmhurst Extreme 9-10 year old team competed against multiple teams in the Little League District 10 tournament last week. They made it to the semi finals to play River Forest. It was a close game, but Elmhurst defeated River Forest 5 to 4 in the bottom of the final inning.
Based on the Little League double elimination rule, Elmhurst played River Forest again in the championship the next day. River Forest had the lead after the third inning, winning 3-2. But Elmhurst Extreme came out strong in the 4th and scored 10 runs to end the game early with a final score of 13 to 3.
Elmhurst will now compete in the Illinois State sectionals starting this weekend. Good luck Elmhurst!
