Elmhurst Hopefuls Invited To Local Forum

State representative candidates are among those asked to come to the event.

ELMHURST, IL – Candidates in Elmhurst area political races have been invited to take part in a forum Sunday.

Organized by the League of Women Voters of Elmhurst, the event is set for 1 p.m. at City Hall's City Council chambers, 209 N. York St. The election is Nov. 5.

Here's the tentative schedule for the event:

  • 1 p.m.: DuPage County Board (District 2), a three-minute statement from Democrat Andrew Honig
  • 1:15 p.m.-1:45 p.m.: DuPage County Board (District 1), Democrat Maria Sinkule and Republican Cindy Cronin Cahill
  • 2 p.m.-2:30 p.m.: Illinois House (District 45), Democrat Marti Deuter and Republican Dennis Reboletti
  • 2:45 p.m.-3:15 p.m.: Elmhurst Park District presentation on tax increase referendum, presenters are the district's executive director, Jim Rogers, and its board president, Kevin Graf
  • 3:30 p.m.-4 p.m.: Forest Preserve District of DuPage County presentation on tax increase referendum, presenter is either the board president, Dan Hebreard, or the district's staff
