Elmhurst Hospital Gets Top Grade For 12th Year
Another area hospital received a low rating, according to an annual survey.

ELMHURST, IL – For a dozen years, Elmhurst Hospital has remained one of just 20 hospitals in the nation to be awarded an "A" from a major ratings group, the hospital said Wednesday.
"The commitment to patient safety is especially impressive as (the group's) analysis revealed dramatic increases in healthcare-associated infections during the COVID-19 pandemic across the country," hospital spokesman Collin Walden said in an email to Patch.
Elmhurst Hospital was one of 29 hospitals statewide to get the "A" grade in the latest Leapfrog hospital survey. The AdventHealth hospitals in Hinsdale and La Grange also received the top grade. By contrast, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove got a "D."
