ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst Hospital is treating the most patients for the coronavirus since February, according to its latest report.

As of Wednesday, the hospital had 22 COVID-19 patients.

Since March, the number of coronavirus patients in the hospital has remained relatively low, ranging from one to 18 until Wednesday. It had just one case on St. Patrick's Day.

The hospital had the most coronavirus patients at one time on Nov. 17, 2021, with 84.

In the last week, the hospital reported no deaths from the coronavirus. It experienced two in the month before that.

Since the pandemic's beginning, the hospital has reported 298 deaths from the coronavirus – a rate of 10.6 per month.
