Elmhurst Hosts 4th Of July Race

The 4 on the 4th race tradition will continue this year.

ELMHURST, IL — The Elmhurst tradition of running the 4 on the 4th race continues this year on Tuesday, July 4, starting at 7:15 a.m. According to Elmhurst Park District's website, this community 4-mile run starts and finishes on Prospect Avenue next to Wilder Park at Elmhurst College.

There is also a 1k kids race for children 12 and under.

The race is presented by the Elmhurst Running Club. According to the race's website, the course is USATF-certified and CARA Runner's Choice Circuit CARA Youth Circuit. The course is primarily flat with the exception of three hills, There will also be two water stops and markers and clocks at each mile.
